STEVEN SCHALL
Navigating and Coordinating Health Care
Steven Schall is an experienced healthcare coordination professional, available to help individuals and families navigate health-related challenges, including heart disease, heart transplant, other serious illnesses, as well as the challenges of aging. With deep institutional knowledge, Steve will help ‘see around corners’ in navigating the myriad of healthcare complexities.

STEVE'S APPROACH
He listens, provides a sound assessment of what is needed and researches the most pressing issues. He then coordinates an approach that aligns with an individual’s or family’s desires. Having helped people manage crises as an emergency room social worker, Steve has the experience and skill to navigate interactions with large healthcare institutions to help clients find what they need. He is adept at pulling apart and interpreting often-overwhelming medical research and distilling it for those he is supporting. Steve will provide clients with information on thoroughly-vetted medical providers of excellence nationally and, if needed, in other countries. He will equip clients with the right questions to ask their doctors and providers. Steve can be with you every step of the way.

DEEP EXPERIENCE
There are nuances to every healthcare challenge, yet, there are common threads. Steve’s experience allows him to successfully navigate across a wide range of medical conditions, such as heart disease, Alzheimer’s, cancer and stroke.
Heart disease and heart transplant are areas, for example, where Steve has hands-on experience, supporting a family member for over 30 years, literally every step of the way through the difficult arc of procedures, major surgeries and, eventually, transplant. He has researched and visited transplant centers across the country. He evaluated the voluminous information about dozens of transplant centers – how they market themselves, the data and detailed reports from the national organ transplant clearinghouse. And then, once “listed” at multiple centers, during those months of waiting and hoping, he continued tracking data, distilling anything new doctors were saying, and factored all that into “what if this,” or “what if that.”
